Class Syllabus

50% Formative/Participation

50% Summative/Performance

If a student is absent from class, planned or not, students will have 3 days from the day they return to school to complete any work missed. It will be the student's responsibility to come to tutorials in order to make up quizzes or tests missed as well as getting any assignments from dates they missed.

Cheating and Plagiarism:

Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated.

This includes copying an assignment from another student, obtaining answers or work from any third person, using the internet or other reference material for work that should be completed individually.

Plagiarism is a form of cheating; it includes, but is not limited to copying material from another source, usually a book or the Internet, and turning it in as your own work. Students may think of it as “borrowing” but it is cheating and will not be tolerated. Copying and pasting content and then changing around the wording is still plagiarism and will not be tolerated.

If you are found cheating you will receive a zero on the assignment without the possibility to make up the work and the parent/guardian will be contacted. Should a second infraction occur the student will receive a written referral to the Dean of Students’ office.
