VETERANS DAY
Dear
SST Families,
November
11th is Veteran’s Day, a day to honor and thank those brave Americans=
who
have served to protect our freedoms and our great country.
Wednesday
November 11th at 5.30 p.m. we will be hosting a potluck dinner at the school
for all those who want to get together and thank the veterans.
If
you, your spouse, your older children, your parents, or any other member of
your family would like to come sit down at the school for a dinner honoring
American’s veterans, please call or email (preferably) Andrea Hartsell (social studies teacher) to RSVP.
Please
respond with the amount of people in your party and the dish you will be
bringing.
In
addition to bringing something to eat I am also asking for a small, optional
donation of something we can package and send to the troops in
Ideas
include, instant coffee, sugar, and creamer (Starbucks has come out with
instant singles for troops), magazines, phone cards, envelopes, stationary =
and
postage stamps, baked goods or packaged snacks (anything that doesn’t
require refrigeration), or a thank you card.
